The entire Ring Road 2.5 in the city is divided into 13 sections. The project has been invested in 7.6km according to the plan, 9.36km is being invested, and 2.45km has not been studied for investment.

Currently, one of the biggest difficulties is site clearance (GPMB) related to 5 sections under implementation and 3 sections that have not been implemented.

In the context of Hanoi's rapid urbanization, Ring Road 2.5 is a key factor to achieve the goal of infrastructure breakthroughs and reducing traffic congestion - one of the 5 bottlenecks that the city focuses on directing to overcome.

Chairing the working session to remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the Ring Road 2.5 project on December 9, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that this is a key and key project of the city, meaning not only for the development future of Hanoi, but also to meet the requirements of the people's practical life.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee requested that the entire political system must be mobilized to participate, increase propaganda and mobilization so that people can share, support and accompany the city to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.

At the conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy key tasks in 2026 of Yen Hoa ward, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Nguyen Quoc Khanh ward emphasized that the key task in 2026 identified by the locality is to speed up the site clearance progress of key projects, including the Ring Road 2.5 project.

In Cau Giay ward, Chairman of Ngo Ngoc Phuong Ward People's Committee said that the GPMB work of the Ring Road 2.5 is a key and urgent political task, of great significance to the development of transport infrastructure and socio-economy.

The ward will focus on moving the tombs in the section from Cau Giay to Dich Vong New Urban Area to Vinh Hang - Ba Vi Ecological Cemetery, to be completed in the first months of 2026 in accordance with regulations; ensuring publicity, transparency, and compliance with the law.

For the Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section (under construction), recently, the authorities of Phuong Liet and Dinh Cong wards have taken drastic measures to clear encroachment works that encroach on the project boundary, creating conditions for contractors to construct, speeding up the project's progress.

The Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, is 1.6km long, with a total investment of more than VND1,300 billion and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026, after about 12 years since the start of construction.

The Ring Road 2.5 plays a vital role in the Hanoi capital's transportation system, contributing to connecting the inner-city areas from Phu Thuong to Linh Nam, creating a closed circle to reduce traffic pressure on major roads such as Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3.

When completed, the road will also contribute to changing the urban appearance, creating momentum for the socio-economic development of the capital.
