Recently, the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Krong No district has been strongly implemented to improve living conditions for poor and near-poor households in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Danh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong No district said: " Responding to the movement launched by the Prime Minister, in phase 1, the district has eliminated 31 temporary and dilapidated houses with a total cost of 1.86 billion VND. In phase 2, the district will continue to eliminate 56 temporary houses with a budget of VND 3.360 billion".

In the new, spacious house, Mr. Nong Van Cuong (born in 1967, residing in Nam Xuan commune) excitedly said: Previously, my family lived in a makeshift house, which leaked in the rainy season and was hot in the hot season. Since receiving support to build a new house, my family has had a solid place to live, and our lives have become more stable."

Next to the brightly painted and clean house, Mr. Vi Van Nam emotionally said that he has lived here for decades, the old house has seriously degraded, but due to difficult economic conditions, it cannot be repaired.
"When the government supported us to rebuild a new house, my family was very happy and excited. Since having a solid house, my family no longer worries every time a storm comes, feeling that life has more good hope" - Mr. Vi Van Nam happily said.
