On the morning of November 22, the Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police deployed rescue work to bring workers working on the expressway in the flooded area to safety.
On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung (21 years old, from Gia Lai) confirmed that all 10 members of our workers' group had been evacuated to a safe place. Thank you to the authorities for overcoming difficulties and dangers to save us from the fierce flood.
Before that, the group of workers were stuck for 3 days, lacking food and drinking water, having to live in fear. After being rescued by the authorities, the workers were able to eat well and breathe with ease.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duan (37 years old, from Quang Tri) - a member of a group of 4 workers isolated in other locations - also said that he had received a relief team, providing food and drinking water.
The water has now receded, the construction area is in a high location, quite safe, so Mr. Duan and his colleagues only receive food supplies and continue to stay at the construction site.
Previously, these workers were isolated since November 19 at Phu Khe 1 intersection (Dong Hoa ward). Mr. Hung shared: "We have been stuck for many days, the food is exhausted, there is nothing to eat".
About 2km from this location, a group of 4 workers driving a roll at the project also fell into a similar situation, when the food and drinking water were all gone.
