Dak Lak - Mi-17 helicopters of the 930th Regiment, belonging to Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force took off to provide relief to isolated flooded communes.

On the morning of November 22, at Phu Cat airport, Regiment 930, Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force brought 3 tons of relief goods including: Food, dry food, cakes, milk, drinking water, life jackets... to reach Tuy An Dong and Tuy An Tay communes of Dak Lak province. These localities have many residential areas that are isolated due to major floods.

According to the order of the Air Defense - Air Force, Regiment 930 deployed forces and vehicles in the shortest time, ready to conduct relief flights in completely cut off areas.

The Mi-17 helicopter was chosen for its high mobility and suitability to complex weather conditions in the Central Highlands region.

The flight was directly commanded by Colonel Vu Hong Diep, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Defense - Air Force, along with the leaders of the Army Rescue - Rescue Department and commander of Division 372.

In addition to carrying relief goods, the Mi-17 also performs a reconnaissance mission, searching for isolated areas.

In response to the complicated flood situation in the South Central region, on November 21, the Ministry of National Defense issued an urgent dispatch No. 7483/CD-BQP requesting agencies and units to focus all their forces to respond and overcome the consequences.

The telegram emphasizes the top priority task of ensuring the safety of people's lives, minimizing property damage and soon stabilizing life in severely affected areas.

The General Staff is assigned to strictly maintain the on-duty regime, closely monitor weather developments, be ready to mobilize forces to handle landslides and floods; coordinate with localities to evacuate people from dangerous areas and arrange shelters as temporary accommodation.

The Department of Rescue has also issued 15 tons of dry food to Military Region 5 to provide emergency support to the people, preventing hunger in flooded areas.
