According to the Northern Hydrometeorological Station, at 4:00 AM on July 5th, the center of storm No. 1 was located at about 21.9 degrees North latitude; 108.0 degrees East longitude, over the southern area of Guangxi province, China.
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8, gusting to level 10. The storm is moving in the North-Northeast direction at a speed of 5-10km/h.
It is forecasted that by 4:00 PM on July 5th, storm No. 1 will weaken into a tropical depression, then continue to weaken into a low pressure area.
Due to the influence of the storm's circulation, from July 5 to the morning of July 6, Quang Ninh continued to have moderate rain, heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Common rainfall is 70-150mm, locally over 200mm. In thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Notably, at 3 am on July 5, the water level at Binh Lieu station on the Tien Yen River was measured at 79.51m, 0.01m higher than alarm level 1.
It is forecasted that in the next 6-12 hours, the flood water level at this station will continue to increase to levels above alarm level 2 to alarm level 3, with the possibility of peaking in the morning of July 5 at levels above alarm level 3.
The meteorological agency warns of a high risk of flash floods and landslides in the Tien Yen riverside area; the risk of localized flooding in low-lying areas along the river and downstream areas is high. Natural disaster risk level due to floods: level 1.
Areas along the Tien Yen River need to be wary of flooding, including Hoanh Mo, Luc Hon, Binh Lieu, Dien Xa, Tien Yen, Dong Ngu, Hai Lang communes.
Floodwaters rising and falling rapidly can affect aquaculture, agricultural production and people's lives and activities.
Prolonged heavy rain can also cause urban drainage system overload, flooding in residential areas, traffic jams due to road flooding and reduced visibility.

In Tien Yen commune, the Commune Civil Defense Command has established 2 working groups to inspect key areas such as construction sites, landslide and flood-prone points, dams and boat anchorage areas. The locality has also established 10 working groups in villages and neighborhoods to be on duty for storm prevention and control 24/24 hours.
Up to now, Tien Yen commune has brought 179 fishing boats from 6-12m long to safe anchorages; 122 small boats have been pulled ashore; 19 fish rafts with 38 cages have been reinforced firmly. All 396 people on boats and aquaculture cages have been brought ashore safely.
The locality has prepared vehicles and supplies according to the "4 on-site" motto, ready to mobilize more than 250 people to participate in response when situations occur.
The Civil Defense Command of Tien Yen commune requests households in areas at risk of flooding, landslides, and flash floods to be ready to relocate to village cultural houses, neighborhoods, or safe points.
