At around 6:40 a.m. on March 14, a car fire broke out on Le Duan Street, through Chinh Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City. The car in distress was a 4-seat car with a license plate of Quang Nam province.
According to initial information, Mr. D.V.C (residing on Le Duan Street, Chinh Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District) has parked a 4-seat car with license plate number 92A-063.xx on the side of Le Duan Street since the night of March 13. In the morning, they took a bus to prepare for work and take their children to school. However, the car had a problem and could not be started after two tries.
When the third start was made, a loud explosion suddenly issued from the ground, accompanied by a fire. The owner immediately opened the door to check and discovered a small fire burning in the underground area.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC&CNCH) under Da Nang City Police quickly dispatched fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene to carry out fire fighting work. After about 20 minutes of effort, the fire was completely controlled, preventing the risk of the fire spreading to surrounding areas.
The front of the cabin and all the interior of the car were completely burned down.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities.
