Recently, the People's Committee of Thac Ba commune has administratively fined more than 137 million against Thai Binh Duong Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Binh Loi Trung ward, Ho Chi Minh City), with the legal representative being Mr. Dinh Thanh Van, General Director.
The authorized representative is Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Head of the Construction Management Department of Pacific Joint Stock Company, the construction unit of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500 KV transmission line project (section through Thac Ba, Lao Cai province).
From July 18 to July 21, in sub-zone 237, compartment 2 in Da Trang village, Thac Ba commune, Thai Binh Duong Joint Stock Company illegally destroyed natural production forests managed by the People's Committee of Thac Ba commune with an area of 2,100m2.
After violating the law, Pacific Joint Stock Company avoided and covered up the administrative violation (at the meeting on August 11 with the People's Committee of Thac Ba commune, the Company avoided to cover up the administrative violation).
Accordingly, Pacific Joint Stock Company was administratively sanctioned with a fine of VND 137,500,000.
The People's Committee of Thac Ba commune forced Pacific Joint Stock Company to restore the original state, to be completed before October 10.
The forest must be replanted with native trees suitable to the soil and climate conditions of the locality, to be completed before November 30.
