On December 5, contractors are speeding up the construction progress of the Binh Chuan intersection, part of the construction package 2 of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Binh Duong.
Currently, the Binh Chuan intersection project has completed about 30% of the volume. Units are starting to construct pillars to build an overpass over the My Phuoc Tan Van route.
To ensure that the construction is on schedule and traffic is not obstructed on the main road, the units have worked together to calculate traffic diversion plans here.
The Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Duong province has sent an official dispatch to the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province to agree on a traffic diversion plan.
The contractor also has a written report to the investor about the specific construction plan and time to divert traffic on My Phuoc Tan Van road.
From December 7, the contractor will begin construction of the T2 pillar of the overpass branch B and the T2 pillar of the overpass branch A.
Construction units will block 2/6 lanes of My Phuoc Tan Van road. At the same time, 2 additional lanes will be opened on both sides of the sidewalk for motorbikes to pass, and the remaining 4 lanes will be for two-way traffic. The construction of the bridge piers will be carried out in the flower bed area of the median strip of My Phuoc Tan Van road.
According to Dai Thien Truong Joint Stock Company (contractor for Binh Chuan intersection), My Phuoc Tan Van road is the main artery of Binh Duong province. Traffic volume on this road is very large, including many mixed vehicles (container trucks, trucks, cars, motorbikes, etc.), with a 24/7 traffic flow. Therefore, when narrowing the roadway to implement construction, the Binh Chuan intersection project is prone to congestion and traffic safety problems.
Therefore, the contractor requested the investor to notify the agencies and localities to coordinate to strengthen traffic safety, reduce congestion, and limit accidents during construction.
According to records, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Binh Duong, the section from Binh Chuan intersection to Saigon River intersects many roads, most notably My Phuoc Tan Van road. This project also intersects with Nguyen Thi Minh Khai road, National Highway 13, and Cach Mang Thang 8 road. Currently, localities are actively compensating households and relocating infrastructure to create construction sites for projects across the above roads.
The leader of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province said that currently, the investor (Binh Duong Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board) will divide the lanes in the construction area as the construction progresses.
