On October 21, news from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Traffic Police Department said that Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station (Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department) had issued a record of administrative fine for Mr. L.V.T (60 years old, residing in Tan Dinh Commune, Khanh Hoa) for driving in the wrong direction on a road with a "No entry" sign.
Previously, on October 10, the Traffic Police Department received a clip about 20 seconds long provided by local residents, recording the scene of a white car with license plate 79A-346.xx going in the wrong direction on km 1428 National Highway 1, passing through Phuong Nam restaurant (Nam Ninh Hoa commune).
After verification, the authorities determined that the violating vehicle was owned by Mr. L.V.T.
Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station invited Mr. T. to work. Here, he admitted his violation.
Pursuant to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road traffic, Mr. L.V.T was fined 19 million VND and had 4 points deducted from his driving license.
According to the authorities, driving in the wrong direction on a road with a prohibition sign is a serious violation, posing a very high risk of causing traffic accidents.
The strict handling aims to deter and raise awareness of law compliance of traffic participants.
