Discovering 6 martyrs' remains in Quang Tri Ancient Citadel

Quang Tri - During the restoration and embellishment process at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Relic Site, 6 martyrs' remains were discovered.

On September 22, the People's Committee of Quang Tri Ward (Quang Tri Province) confirmed that during the restoration and embellishment process at the Quang Tri Special National Monument, the construction unit discovered military relics.

After that, the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command directed Team 584 to conduct a survey and organize a search.

By noon on September 22, 6 martyrs' remains had been discovered and collected at the Quang Tri Imperial Citadel Special National Monument.

In addition, Team 584 also discovered 2 martyrs' remains at the Truong Bo De historical relic site (quarter 3, Quang Tri ward).

The remains of martyrs were buried 60cm to 1m deep, wrapped in hammocks and many relics such as: infantry shells, helmets, AK ammunition boxes...

Currently, the remains of the martyrs have been brought to thevenement at the Cultural House of Quarter 3 (Quang Tri Ward) and the Shelter of the Quang Tri City Special National Monument.

On September 22, the 515th Working Group of Quang Tri province visited and burned incense to pay respect to the martyrs' remains collected by Team 584, Political Department, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command.
