Specifically, at about 2 pm on the same day, people passing through the border area between Yen Tho and Thang Binh communes discovered a baby girl abandoned, wrapped in a thin blanket, placed in a plastic basket right under the ditch, in freezing weather conditions.
Immediately after discovering the incident, people informed the local authorities. The baby was then taken to Yen Lac commune (old) health station for care. The baby's health is currently stable, weighing about 3.5 kg.
In the immediate future, the baby will be cared for by doctors and nurses at the health station. The local authorities have also widely announced to find relatives for the baby. In case no one comes to receive him, the authorities will carry out procedures to find legal adopters in accordance with regulations" - a representative of the leadership of Yen Tho commune informed.
