According to the People's Committee of Bao An Ward, on the afternoon of August 16, the Ward Police and the Head of Residential Group 3 received a report from Mr. L.Q. T. about the discovery of a newborn baby abandoned in an empty lot behind his house, in Truong Dinh alley, Residential Group 3.
Immediately after that, functional forces were present at the scene to check. The child was identified as a baby girl, about 1 day old, weighing 3.2kg, not yet cut the umbilical cord.
At the time of discovery, there was a towel next to the baby. There were no papers or information to help identify the child's biological father, mother or relative.
The baby was given initial first aid at Bao An Ward Health Station, then transferred to Ninh Thuan General Hospital for continued care and health monitoring. Currently, the baby's health is temporarily stable.
Bao An Ward People's Committee is coordinating with Ninh Thuan General Hospital to temporarily care for, ensure safety and monitor the baby's health during the search for relatives.
Local authorities request people to coordinate in providing information. In case they are the biological father, mother, relative of the child or know information related to the child's relatives, they are requested to contact Bao An Ward People's Committee or Bao An Ward Police for guidance and support in carrying out procedures according to regulations.
