On the afternoon of February 17, the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command confirmed that it is continuing to expand the search area and collect the remains of martyrs in Nam Chanh village (Hai Chanh commune, Hai Lang district).
Previously, the Martyr Remains Collection Team 584 (political Department, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command) organized a search for martyrs' remains in Mr. Hoang Huu Hoa's garden in Cau Nhi village, Nam Chanh village (Hai Chanh commune) and discovered signs of martyrs' remains.
At 2:30 p.m. on February 17, 3 martyrs' remains were discovered and collected. The martyrs' remains were wrapped in a tank, hammocks were lying on the ground at a depth of about 1m, with bones and some accompanying relics.
Currently, the martyrs' remains have been brought to the register at the Hai Lang District Martyrs' Cemetery, carefully protected by officers and soldiers of the 584 Martyrs' Remains Collection Team and incense.
Colonel Le Hong Viet - Deputy Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command and the working delegation were present at the scene to direct the search and collection of martyrs' remains.
