Ho Chi Minh City - On July 24, functional forces gathered more remains when digging a new trench at Le Thi Rieng Park.

After a period of focusing manpower and vehicles to expand the scope of exploration and excavation according to the stories of historical witnesses and field data, the Repatriation Team of Martyrs' Remains under the City Command urgently continued the work of searching for and exhuming martyrs' remains. On July 24, with a volume of excavated soil of more than 70m3, functional forces initially discovered, exhumed and repatriated 3 sets of collective martyrs' remains, 1 set of single martyrs' remains.

In particular, the delegation also found many sets of artifacts accompanied by remains. These artifacts not only have profound historical value but are also an important basis for identifying and comparing information in the coming time.

Thus, cumulatively until the end of July 24, 2026, the unremitting efforts of the repatriation force at Le Thi Rieng Park have brought in 101 sets of single martyrs' remains and 5 sets of collective martyrs' remains.

This result is proof of the high concentration and close coordination between the Ho Chi Minh City Command and relevant agencies and units and the invaluable support from historical witnesses. Overcoming the milestone of 100 remains of fallen soldiers returning to their solemn resting place is of special significance in the context that the whole city is promoting the "Gratitude" work.

All tasks in the process of repatriation are carried out in a spirit of urgency but always put the requirement of accuracy and absolute respect for heroic martyrs first.

According to the plan, tomorrow (July 25, 2026), the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team under the City Command will continue to expand the search area in the Le Thi Rieng Park area to avoid missing suspicious areas.
