At about 7:15 am on April 23, Ngoc Chien Commune Police (Son La province) received a report from people about the discovery of a body in the Chien stream area, at the source of Nam Chien hydropower reservoir, in Long Cang village.
Immediately after receiving the information, functional forces urgently arrived at the scene, organized salvage and brought the body ashore to serve the inspection and identification work.
Initial information shows that the victim is male, wearing a forest knife case on his side. Because the body has decomposed strongly, his identity cannot be determined.
Currently, the body has been handed over to Ngoc Chien Commune Police to protect the scene, and at the same time continue to coordinate with relevant units to investigate the cause of the incident.
The police agency also issued a notice, requesting people if they have information about the victim or missing person that is consistent with the above characteristics, to contact for identification assistance.
