On July 15, Vinh Loc Commune People's Committee (Hue City) just issued a notice to find relatives of a baby boy about 3 weeks old who was abandoned in the locality.
Previously, at about 8:30 pm on July 4, people discovered a newborn baby about 3 weeks old, not yet umbilical, abandoned in a sewer near the entrance to Ms. Tran Thi Quan's house, in Ho hamlet, Giang Che village, Vinh Loc commune.
The baby was discovered by Mr. Nguyen Thanh and his younger sister, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, when passing by the area, and then reported to the local authorities according to regulations.
Through inspection, the baby boy weighed about 3.5kg, was wearing light yellow woolen clothes, white socks, a light yellow hat, and was wrapped in two layers of yellow and purple scarves.
Along with the baby, there was a black nylon bag containing paper towels, diapers, three sets of clothes and a bottle of milk.
Currently, Vinh Loc Commune People's Committee has temporarily handed over the baby to Mr. Nguyen Thanh and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Be (residing in Giang Che village, Vinh Loc commune) for care and nurturing.
Vinh Loc Commune People's Committee announced that a relative of the child contacted the Commune People's Committee to carry out procedures to receive the child back according to regulations.
If no one comes to claim it after 7 days from the date of the notice, the locality will register the birth and carry out relevant procedures according to the provisions of law.
