On November 18, the authorities of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command escorted two fishing vessels KG-94933.TS and KG-95598.TS to the port of Hai Phong 301 (Phuoc Thang Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to continue investigating and handling acts showing signs of violating the law in seafood exploitation activities.
Previously, at around 10:30 a.m. on November 12, during patrolling and controlling the southern sea area, the functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command discovered the ship KG-94933.TS approaching the ship KG-95598.TS with suspicious signs, so they conducted an inspection.
Thereby, it was discovered that the journey monitoring devices of both ships had been dis assembled; at the same time, two other journey monitoring devices were seized but it was not determined which ship belonged to.
The incident was determined to be a violation of fishing and exploitation activities, so the authorities are investigating and strictly handling it according to the law.
