In the afternoon of March 9, 2026, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Quach Tat Liem chaired a conference to listen to the Department of Construction - report on the implementation of investment preparation for traffic projects expected to start construction in 2026.
According to a report by the Department of Construction, Phu Tho province is currently implementing investment preparation for 26 transportation projects with a total capital of about 35 trillion VND, projects proposed by the Department of Construction and regional project management boards.
In which, the Department of Construction proposed 6 projects; Vinh Phuc Regional Project Management Board 7 projects; Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board 8 projects and Hoa Binh Regional Project Management Board 5 projects.
The projects focus on building highway connections, ring roads, urban bypasses, industrial park connections, tourist areas and upgrading provincial roads to complete the transport infrastructure system, strengthen regional linkages and expand the province's development space.
In particular, there are many large-scale projects such as the Viet Tri - Hoa Binh road connecting the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with the Hoa Binh - Son La expressway; Ring Road 5 of the Capital region section from IC5 intersection to Vinh Thinh bridge; traffic route connecting the left dike of the Red River with Van Phuc bridge; parallel road of Hanoi - Lao Cai railway and Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project (Km0 - Km19 section).
Projects are currently being urgently completed by agencies and units to complete dossiers, carry out appraisal procedures, approve investment policies and prepare necessary conditions to strive to start construction in 2026.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Quach Tat Liem requested departments and branches to clarify difficulties and obstacles in project implementation related to planning, capital sources, appraisal progress, difficulties due to fragmented terrain and legal procedures related to land use purpose conversion...
At the same time, requesting the Department of Construction, regional project management boards and related departments and branches to continue to carefully review planning, complete dossiers, accelerate the progress of appraisal and approval of investment procedures according to regulations; proactively coordinate to promptly remove difficulties arising during the implementation process.
Agencies and units must focus highly on investment preparation, strive to complete the necessary procedures to start key transport projects in 2026, contributing to completing the transport infrastructure system, creating motivation to promote socio-economic development" - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee requested.
