People's hearts, Party's will are intertwined.
In the spring of 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was established. The Party inherited, promoted and enhanced the patriotism, self-reliance, and aspiration of the people for independence, freedom, and building a civilized, prosperous, and happy society.
Our Party was born as a combination of Marxism-Leninism with the workers' movement and the patriotic movement, bringing patriotism combined with communism, national independence to and associated with socialism.
Our Party clearly stated: "Asserting the nature of the working class of the Party, we do not separate the Party and the working class from other classes of working people, from the entire nation. Right from its establishment, the Party has carried in itself the unity between class factors and ethnic factors. The stance and interests of the working class first of all require national liberation. The Party finds strength not only in the working class but also in the working class, in the entire nation. Since then, the working people and the entire nation have recognized our Party as a leader, a true representative of its basic and close rights" [1].
Since the Party was born, the people have been absolutely loyal to the Party, wholeheartedly following the Party, protecting and sheltering the Party, under the leadership and organization of the Party, creating the victory of the revolution. President Ho Chi Minh summarized: "All those victories are not the riêng công lao of our Party. That is the chung công lao of all compatriots in the whole country. The revolution is the cause of the masses, not the cause of any individual hero. The success of our Party lies in the place where our Party has organized and promoted the inexhaustible revolutionary force of the people, has led the people to strive under the victorious flag of Marxism-Leninism" [2].
As soon as the revolution encountered difficulties, "The Democratic Front in our country was also suppressed by the French colonialists and our Party was also confused for a while" [3], President Ho Chi Minh discovered and found the strength of the people, summarizing valuable lessons about the people's will. From the 1936-1939 revolutionary movement, he drew valuable experiences: "It teaches us that: Anything that is in line with the people's aspirations will be supported and enthusiastically fought for by the people's masses, and that is truly a mass movement. It also teaches us that: We must absolutely avoid subjectivity and narrow-mindedness..." [4].
In the sky, nothing is more precious than the people
In President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, first of all, above all and throughout is the truth "the people are very good" [5]. The people do not spare wealth, material things, lives, are loyal to the Party throughout their lives, follow the Party, and protect the Party.
The people are very strong because the force is in the people, the people's strength is like water. The people are the origin of state power, electing government, the source of power of the Party. Party leadership, State management is a way of doing things aimed at making the people masters, bringing happiness to the people. Because of such the people's force, when they are united and supportive, anything can be done. President Ho Chi Minh summarized: "Experience in the country and other countries shows us: With the people's force, no matter how big or difficult the work is, it can be done. Without it, nothing can be done" [6].
One of the special features Ho Chi Minh pointed out is that "the people's voice is transmitting the will of heaven" [7]. This idea is associated with the saying "in the sky, nothing is more precious than the people" [8] to refer to the role and absolute strength of the people. He concluded: "The people's will is the will of heaven. Doing the people's wishes correctly will surely succeed. Doing against the people's wishes will fail" [9].
The role and creativity of the people also show that "the people know how to solve many problems in a simple, quick, and complete way that talented people and large organizations can never think of" [10]. Therefore, "for the people, don't do anything against the people's wishes. What the people want, we must do it [11].
President Ho Chi Minh also instructed to "maintain close contact with the people and always listen to the opinions of the people, that is the foundation of the Party's forces, thanks to which the Party is victorious" [12]. Not listening to the people's ears, not using the people's experience, not gathering the people's opinions, not recognizing the people as a great teacher, then the leader's opinion is just empty theory, not practical. Uncle wrote: "Without learning from the people, you cannot lead the people. Only knowing how to be a student of the people can be a teacher of the people" [13].
It can be seen that the legacy and ideology of Ho Chi Minh is a treasure trove full of treasures, in which He wrote about the people the most, deepest, and most touchingly with the highlight of the victory of the revolution thanks to the roots, support, and foundation of the people under the wise leadership of the Party.
