Inspectors point out many shortcomings
On September 23, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Chon Hoa - Deputy Chief Inspector of Quang Tri province said that he is continuing to supervise and urge the implementation of inspection conclusions at medical facilities.
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Inspectorate, implementing the inspection orientation and direction of the Provincial People's Committee, in the past time, the unit has conducted comprehensive inspections at some clinics and hospitals in the area.
This is the first inspection after the specialized inspection function from the Department of Health was merged into the Provincial Inspectorate under the new Inspection Law.
Through inspection, in addition to recording the positive aspects in medical examination and treatment, the inspection team pointed out some shortcomings and deficiencies at medical facilities.
One of the problems discovered is that the updating of legal documents related to the field of health and health insurance (HI) at some units is not timely. This leads to incomplete application of regulations in the operating process.
In addition, although facilities actually provide medical examination and treatment for people, the creation and recording of medical records at some units still does not fully show information according to regulations.
The inspection team also discovered the situation of inaccurate application of regulations on payment of health insurance medical examination and treatment costs. Due to incorrect payment request dossiers, the social insurance agency refused to pay some expenses.
According to the Provincial Inspectorate, if shortcomings in requesting payment for medical examination and treatment costs are not inspected and corrected promptly, it will potentially cause loss of the health insurance fund.
The shortcomings discovered through inspection show that medical facilities need to pay more attention to updating legal regulations, completing medical records and properly implementing the process of paying medical examination and treatment costs.
Urge remediation after inspection conclusion
Discussing the handling of violations, Mr. Nguyen Chon Hoa said that for economic violations, violating units have proactively paid remedial money into the State budget right during the inspection process.

Regarding HI costs that are not eligible for payment, the establishments have also seriously complied with the refusal to pay as proposed" - Mr. Hoa said.
According to Mr. Hoa, supervision, inspection, and implementation of inspection conclusions are one of the important stages, not just stopping at issuing conclusions or proposing handling. The Provincial Inspectorate continues to urge units to implement the contents that have been pointed out, and at the same time monitor the rectification to limit the recurrence of violations.
In the coming time, the Quang Tri Provincial Inspectorate will continue to coordinate with the Provincial Department of Health and Social Insurance to strengthen the review, inspection, and examination of public and private health facilities in the area.
Along with inspection activities, the Provincial Inspectorate requested the Provincial Department of Health and Social Insurance to strengthen training, professional guidance, and update legal regulations for medical staff.
