On March 12, information from the office of Da Nang City People's Committee, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Quang Nam signed a decision approving the task of adjusting the planning of the Han River and East bank sub-areas, scale 1/2000.
One of the key contents of this adjustment is recalculating the population size to suit the development reality of the city.
Specifically, Da Nang will implement adjustments and supplements to the population of projects according to Conclusion No. 77-KL/TW of the Politburo.
In which, the population in Da Phuoc International Urban Area is supplemented according to Resolution No. 64/NQ-CP of the Government.
At the same time, supplementing the population for social housing projects being implemented under the special mechanism in Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 and similar projects that have full legal status.
The new plan requires reviewing and increasing the floor height target for educational land plots (kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school).
This is a decision implemented according to the circular of the Ministry of Education and Training to ensure facilities standards in compact cities.
The city will take advantage of headquarters land after arranging administrative units and leased land that has expired.
Instead of continuing commercial conversion, these land plots will be prioritized for use in the following purposes: Building social infrastructure, green parks, public spaces for existing urban areas, planning housing groups to serve resettlement, serving population relocation to expand schools and welfare facilities in densely populated areas.
The new plan will also update the coastal protection corridor, connect inland waterway port locations and synchronize technical infrastructure according to the latest standards of the Ministry of Construction.
