On March 8, a representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction said that after Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Transport (after the merger, the Ministry of Construction) to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and cities to conduct a general review and resolve shortcomings in the system of traffic signs and lights, the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction is coordinating with localities in the province to organize a review, inspection and overcoming.

Also according to the representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction, during the review process, inappropriate traffic signs will be adjusted, and locations that lack signs will be supplemented. After completing the review, the Department will report specifically to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and implement measures to overcome the shortcomings.
Regarding implementation costs, the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction will use regular maintenance costs. For national highways not under the management authority of the province, the Department will report to the Vietnam Road Administration for appropriate handling.
"Through a preliminary review, on some inner-city roads of the city, towns and district centers, there was a situation where traffic signs were obstructed from view due to trees or some obstacles. Faced with this situation, the Department has directed the authorities to clear and repair the missing signs, creating favorable conditions for traffic participants," informed a representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction.
Currently, the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction has also issued a document requesting the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the area to proactively review and overcome shortcomings in traffic signs. After that, the units will synthesize the results and report to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to have a thorough handling plan.
