From early morning on March 13, at Hon Chuoi island (hamlet 1, Song Doc commune), the polling station located at the barracks of Hon Chuoi Border Guard Station was brilliantly decorated with flags and flowers. This is where 159 voters on the island exercised their voting rights.

Hon Chuoi has a rocky terrain, people mainly live by fishing and aquaculture on cages and rafts along the island.
In recent days, the border guard force has deployed many forms of propaganda, including the "Border Guard Loudspeaker" model, providing information about elections, biographies of candidates and handing out voter cards directly to people.

Chairman of Song Doc Commune People's Committee Do Van Su said that the locality has closely coordinated with forces to ensure that all voters on the island can participate in the election. "Whether on the mainland or offshore, each ballot contributes to selecting worthy delegates, representing the will and aspirations of the people," Mr. Su said.
