Recorded this morning (April 23), the flow of vehicles is still tailing each other, moving very slowly to get to Phu My bridge (section from Phu Thuan ward to Cat Lai ward). Due to the characteristics of this road being a vital traffic axis to the port, most of the vehicles circulating are heavy trucks and container trucks.

Until after 7 am, the amount of vehicles pouring in here was still very large, causing prolonged congestion. In the opposite direction, from Cat Lai ward to Nguyen Van Linh intersection, traffic was quite clear.

According to initial information, the cause of this situation is a chain collision that occurred at about 8 pm on April 22. At that time, 3 trucks, 1 car and 2 tractor trucks collided strongly while going down Phu My bridge. At the scene, a truck and a car were stuck to the trailer of the tractor truck, lying across the entire road surface.

Although the collision did not cause any casualties, it heavily damaged vehicles and paralyzed traffic through the area for many hours.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Da Phuoc Traffic Police Station under the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police was present to regulate and divert traffic and coordinate with relevant units to clarify the cause of the accident.
The case is still being further investigated and handled by functional agencies.
