On November 11, speaking with reporters, Mr. Doan Viet Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Ngan Commune (Thai Nguyen City) said that the locality has just completed the inventory of assets and crops of more than 168 households whose land was recovered to implement the project of building Quang Vinh 1, Quang Vinh 2 bridges and traffic roads.
This is a Group B project, invested by the Thai Nguyen City Construction Investment Project Management Board with a total investment of over 1,500 billion VND, from the local budget. It is expected to start construction in December 2024.
The total length of Quang Vinh 1 bridge and traffic road; Quang Vinh 2 bridge and traffic road across Cau river are 3.45 km and 2.38 km respectively.
The project is implemented in 5 communes and wards of Thai Nguyen city, including: Quan Trieu, Dong Bam, Chua Hang, Cao Ngan and Quang Vinh, with a total land area of more than 17 hectares of land recovered from 464 households and 9 organizations.
"When people learned that a bridge would be built across the locality in December, they were very happy, supportive and looking forward to it because when the bridge is completed, it will certainly make travel easier, increase regional connectivity and develop the local economy," the commune leader added.
In Thai Nguyen city, there are currently 6 large-scale bridges crossing Cau river, including: Huong Thuong, Ben Tuong, Gia Bay, Cao Ngan, Tra Vien and Ben Oanh suspension bridge.
After Quang Vinh 1, Quang Vinh 2 bridges and the road bridge connecting Huong Son ward with Dong Lien commune are completed, Thai Nguyen city will have a total of 9 bridges across Cau river.
