The 4th working week of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly (from November 11 to 13, 2024) will feature many important contents, in which the highlight is the question and answer session. This is the content that attracts the attention and follow-up of a large number of voters and people.
The question and answer session took place from November 11-12. The National Assembly's questions focused on three groups of issues in the fields of Banking, Health, Information and Communications. These are extremely necessary groups of issues and are in line with practical requirements.
According to the meeting agenda, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered opening and closing speeches, and chaired the questioning session for each field.
From 8:10 a.m. on November 11, the National Assembly will question the first group of issues in the banking sector.
National Assembly deputies focused on questioning about: monetary policy management to control inflation in the context of the volatile world economic situation; state management of the gold market and foreign exchange market; support for loans and exemption and reduction of interest rates for people and businesses to restore production and business after the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters.
The primary responsibility for answering lies with the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam. Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
Delegate Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran (Binh Duong delegation) said that in the three groups of questions this time, she was interested in the group of issues in the banking sector.
According to the female delegate of Binh Duong delegation, in the context of the complicated fluctuations of the gold market in recent months, the content of the questioning focused on the management of the gold market and foreign exchange market in the remaining months of 2024 and the orientation for 2025 is extremely necessary to stabilize the socio-economic situation.
In addition, the inflation reduction is not sustainable and there is a risk of upward pressure in the context of the large openness of the Vietnamese economy, complicated fluctuations in world commodity prices due to the impact of complicated geopolitical developments. The credit absorption capacity of businesses and people is still low...
"Faced with the above difficulties and problems, we hope that the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam will have solutions to quickly control and reduce the difference between domestic gold prices and world prices. At the same time, we will be flexible in operating policy tools and solutions in accordance with actual developments," said delegate Bao Tran.
Delegates hope that, under the flexible direction of the Chairman of the meeting, the delegates' questions will be concise and straight to the point; ministers and industry commanders will answer the right questions and provide fundamental solutions to remove bottlenecks in the banking sector.
From 2:25 p.m., the National Assembly will conduct questions and answers on the second group of issues in the health sector.
The National Assembly focused on questioning on: the mobilization and arrangement of medical forces, ensuring medicine and medical supplies for people and disease prevention and control after natural disasters; the granting of licenses and practice certificates in the field of medical examination and treatment; the current status of management of functional foods, pharmaceutical cosmetics and solutions to handle violations; the prevention and control of the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment.
The main responsibility for answering lies with the Minister of Health. Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, Education and Training, Public Security, and National Defense also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
