Landslide in Thanh Hoa border area kills two people

Thanh Hoa - A landslide overnight tragically killed a couple in Muong Lat commune.

On October 7, information from the Ten Tan Border Guard Station (Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard) said that a landslide had just occurred in Muong Lat commune, killing two people.

According to initial information, due to the influence of storm No. 11, on the night of October 6, in the border commune of Muong Lat, Thanh Hoa province, there was prolonged heavy rain, causing many serious landslides.

In the mountainous area of Doan Ket village, a landslide fell onto a household's camp as a nursery, causing Mr. Luong Van Ch and his wife to lose everything. (born in 1971) and Mrs. Lo Thi P. (born in 1977) were buried and died on the spot.

The landslide also caused severe damage to four households in Chien Puc village, in which Mr. Ha Van Thuong's family (born in 1973) had their entire house collapsed.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities and border guards mobilized officers and soldiers to participate in the search and rescue.

By the morning of the same day, the bodies of the two victims were found and handed over to their families for burial according to local customs.
