On the afternoon of November 19, the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police said that at Km35+300 National Highway 26 through Phuong Hoang Pass (Ea Trang Commune), a serious landslide occurred, making it impossible for vehicles to travel.
There are still many fallen trees on the mountainside, which are at risk of further landslides if the rain continues. The authorities have warned people and blocked vehicles from the east onto the pass to avoid congestion, as there is no turning point in this area.
The leader of the Traffic Police Department said that the units are urgently handling the incident, because National Highway 26 is a vital route connecting Dak Lak with Khanh Hoa.
At the same time, National Highway 29 was also flooded from 0.5 to 1 m deep in many sections such as Km49, Km65 and Km72, causing traffic disruption.
