Landslide in Dak Lak kills female party cell secretary

Dak Lak - After the landslide in Song Cau ward, a woman unfortunately died.

On November 19, the People's Committee of Song Cau Ward (Dak Lak Province) informed that a landslide occurred in the area, causing a house collapse, killing one person. The victim was identified as Ms. V.T.U (33 years old), Secretary of the Youth Union of Dan Phu 2 Quarter, Song Cau Ward.

According to initial information, the victim lived alone. The authorities are deploying rescue work and reviewing more information about the victims.

Previously, at around 6:00 a.m. on November 19, rocks and soil from the mountain behind Ms. U's house collapsed and overflowed down. Ms. U's house was flooded with rocks and soil, causing it to collapse and the victim died.

In recent days, Dak Lak province has had moderate rain, heavy rain, some places have had very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Rainfall measured at stations from 7:00 p.m. on November 17 to 7:00 p.m. on November 18 was generally 100-200mm. In particular, some areas with particularly heavy rain such as: Ea Ly: 578mm; Song Hinh 528.4mm, Son Thanh 492mm.
