On August 6, information from Yen Phu Commune People's Committee, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, landslides occurred at Km52 on National Highway 2, affecting the traffic of vehicles.
According to records at the scene, the landslide location is in the positive slope. A large amount of soil from the hillside has slid down, covering the surface of National Highway 2.
After receiving the news, local authorities were present at the scene to check the situation, direct and overcome the incident.
In the landslide area, the construction unit mobilized machinery, vehicles and manpower to organize the leveling of the volume of soil spilled onto the road surface.
At the same time, deploy measures to warn, divert traffic and ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling through the route.
Previously, a landslide had also been recorded at this location. Both landslides did not cause any casualties.
However, the recurrence of landslides shows that this area still poses a potential risk of unsafety, especially in conditions of prolonged heavy rain, water-soaked soil and rocks and reduced soil cohesion.
Faced with the complicated developments of the weather, Yen Phu Commune People's Committee requested people to regularly monitor forecast information, warnings of heavy rain; limit moving through dangerous areas.
