On the morning of June 24, in Vinh Hiep hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune, An Giang province, a serious landslide occurred in the Cai river wharf area, completely collapsing 3 houses into the river, causing property damage.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the Military Command (CHQS) of Vinh Hoa commune urgently deployed militia forces to the scene, coordinating with local authorities and functional forces to support people to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
According to initial information, the landslide occurred at about 7 am in the Nha Ngang market area, Vinh Hiep hamlet. The consequence was the complete sinking of 3 houses of households including Mr. P.D.T (born in 1985); Mr. D.N (born in 1967), house and many living assets; Mr. H.K. L (born in 1968), a house with a fake tower wall just completed. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties.

Immediately upon receiving the news, the Vinh Hoa Commune Military Command quickly sent officers and militia soldiers to the area, coordinated with other forces to grasp the situation, cordon off dangerous areas, support households to relocate the remaining assets to safe places, and encourage affected families to overcome immediate difficulties.
Up to now, the landslide area has been warned by local authorities and functional forces, restricting people from passing to ensure safety. Vinh Hoa Commune Military Command continues to maintain a standing militia force at the scene, coordinating with the Commune Police and local departments and branches to support people to collect property, stabilize temporary accommodation, and closely monitor developments in the landslide area.
Faced with the risk of further landslides due to the impact of heavy rain and strong currents, the Commune Military Command has advised the Party Committee and local authorities to review households living along the river, and develop relocation plans when necessary to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
