The People's Committee of My Hoa Hung commune, An Giang province has just issued a quick report on the continued landslides in group 3, My Thuan hamlet.
After receiving a report from people in My Thuan hamlet, at 1:30 p.m. on October 31, landslides continued to occur in group 3, My Thuan hamlet, My Hoa Hung commune.
The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Hoa Hung commune sent military forces, commune police, and My Thuan Hamlet Board to the scene to direct the rescue and relocation of assets of people directly affected by landslides.

A survey shows that the landslide is about 150m long, eating about 20m deep into the shore. The landslide location on October 31 was about 50m upstream according to report No. 59/BC-UBND, September 4, 2025.
The initial determination was that the landslide area was located in the area previously warned by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of An Giang province, right at the curved section with a flow close to the shore, strong water flow, combined with a large load on the shore (houses, ministries, traffic)... causing landslides and subsidence in the area.
Fortunately, there were no human casualties but there were property damage of the people. The landslide was about 150m long, eating 20m deep into the bank, completely eroding the traffic route, with 12 households affected by the landslide (with 44 people) in My Thuan hamlet. Property and structures have been moved out of the landslide area, with estimated damage of over 1.2 billion VND.

Currently, the above landslide location has directly affected traffic routes, vehicles no longer participate in traffic through this area. The commune has put up signs in dangerous landslide areas.
The Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the commune has conducted a field survey, supported people in dismantling and moving assets to a safe place.
Currently, the locality continues to mobilize people around to cut down the edge of trees, cast dusty forest, relocate architectural objects to reduce the load and pull the boundary ropes, install fences, temporary signs, hang warning lights... to ensure traffic safety. At the same time, continue to monitor to warn and mobilize people and households at risk of subsidence and landslides to move to safe places.
Currently, the above area is at risk of continuing to slide deep into the mainland and around the housing areas of households. The People's Committee of the commune coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to continue to mobilize people in areas at risk of further landslides to move to safe places to ensure people's lives and property.
In addition, it is recommended that the provincial-level professional sectors survey, evaluate, and consider proposing to the Provincial People's Committee to support the handling and repair of the above road section and support 12 households affected by landslides from the province's funding source.
Previously, on October 29, a landslide occurred at the wholesale market in Group 3, My Thuan Hamlet and Group 1, My Khanh 1 Hamlet, My Hoa Hung Commune, An Giang Province.
