Recorded on October 19, at Hoa Son cemetery, the largest cemetery in the city, prolonged heavy rain caused landslides on the road in many areas.

Red layers of soil fell onto the road, covering many sections of the road, obstructing vehicles from passing through this area.
In some sections of the road, water from the steep mountain slope flowed down due to prolonged heavy rain, large rocks, and a block of soil flowing onto the road.

The landslide has equalized into many locations, affecting many graves near the hillside. In some places, the tomb wall was encroached, water flowed strongly with soil and rocks overflowing, causing the tomb walls to crack due to the heavy rain of soil and rocks.

In steep sections, water from the mountain slope flows rapidly, strongly eroding the layer of soil and rock, creating a waterfall flowing onto the road. Many areas on the slope are still at risk of further landslides if heavy rain continues.
According to people who regularly pass through this area, every time there is prolonged heavy rain, serious landslides appear in the Hoa Son cemetery area.
The recent heavy rain caused rocks and water from the mountainside to flow onto the road. On some sections of the road, large cracks appeared, making it more difficult to move through these sections of the road.

Previously, the historic flood on October 14, 2022 caused Hoa Son cemetery to have many landslides, burying and digging up hundreds of graves.

Faced with the complicated developments of the landslide situation, the Hoa Khanh Ward Military Command has proactively deployed a response plan. At the same time, the Ward Military Command inspected the site and surveyed the landslides at this cemetery.
The unit has closely followed the developments of heavy rain that has lasted for many days, promptly advising the Party Committee and the Ward People's Committee on a plan to evacuate people in areas that may be affected.
