Lam Dong - Authorities are actively searching for a man who went swimming in the river after drinking and was swept away by the water.

On October 13, Da Huoai District Police (Lam Dong Province) informed that the authorities are coordinating to deploy rescue work to search for a young man who was swept away by river water and is missing.

Earlier, at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, many people were drinking together in Ha Lam commune (Da Huoai district). After that, 3 young men went down to Da Huoai river, near Dai Quay bridge (Ha Lam commune) to bathe.

Then, these three people decided to swim to the other side of the river. Because it was raining heavily, the river water rose and flowed fast, so one young man was swept away and went missing. The other two were lucky to swim to shore and escaped.

According to the police, the young man swept away by the flood and missing was identified as Nguyen Quoc Viet (19 years old, residing in Phu Lam commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province).
