Gia Lai - The recently flooded areas have been ready to respond and evacuate people when storm No. 15 makes landfall and causes impacts.

On November 28, according to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the direction of movement and intensity of storm No. 15 will have many changes in the coming days.

However, the storm circulation and cold air can cause moderate to heavy rain in the area from Da Nang to Lam Dong.

Along with the consequences of prolonged heavy rains in recent days in Gia Lai, there is a very high risk of further landslides, flash floods, flooding in low-lying areas...

The People's Committee of Gia Lai province requested timely evacuation and urgent relocation of residents from dangerous areas, especially cages, aquaculture hutes and areas at risk of flash floods, landslides, etc.

Communes and wards are ready with a response plan to storm No. 15. Based on the developments of the storm and the actual situation in the locality to decide to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of people's lives, especially on islands and coastal areas.

Timely notify owners of vehicles and captains (including transport ships and tourist ships) of the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas; implement measures to ensure safety for ships at anchorage areas.

After 4 days of urgent implementation of the repair work, by the morning of November 28, the reinforcement of the two sections of the Ha Thanh and Cat rivers (Tuy Phuoc commune) broken in the recent historic flood had been basically completed.

For many consecutive days, the Army unit has always maintained more than 100 officers and soldiers participating; during peak days, there were more than 160 people. The army took on the welding, while the local government supported dump trucks carrying materials.
