Initial information, on the morning of August 20, Mr. Tran Kim T (born 1969, in Phu Minh village, Dan Hai commune) and Mr. Hoang Xuan Th (born 1966, in Quy Hoa village, Dan Hai commune) went to visit the fields in Phuc Loc village, Dan Hai commune.
At about 10:30 am on the same day, it rained heavily with thunder and lightning, the two men ran into the aquaculture watchtower of a household in Dan Hai commune to take shelter from the rain.
At this time, lightning suddenly hit the hut, causing Mr. T to die on the spot; Mr. Th was in critical condition and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment by relatives.
According to the Chairman of Dan Hai Commune People's Committee, due to the impact of rain and floods, the locality has recommended proactive prevention and control, in which the highest priority is to ensure safety of life, but a regrettable incident still occurred when 2 men went to the fields and were struck by lightning.
