Khanh Hoa - Functional forces of Khanh Hoa province are urgently searching for a young man who was swept away by large waves and went missing in Hon Chong, Bac Nha Trang ward.

On the morning of March 9, functional forces of Khanh Hoa province are still actively implementing measures to search for the young man who was swept away by large waves while swimming in the sea in the Hon Chong area, belonging to Bac Nha Trang ward.

The victim was identified as Mr. Vo Duc M (born in 2006), residing in hamlet 1, Dien Dien commune, Khanh Hoa province.

Previously, on the evening of March 8, after receiving a report from Command Center 114, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 9 (under the Fire and Rescue Police of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) quickly mobilized vehicles and 7 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize the search.

In the area where the incident occurred, rescue forces coordinated with Bac Nha Trang Ward Police and Cau Bong Border Guard Station to deploy measures to search for victims.

However, due to darkness, high waves and complicated weather conditions, the search at night encountered many difficulties. After many hours of efforts but no results, functional forces temporarily withdrew troops to ensure safety.

By the morning of March 9, the units continued to mobilize forces and vehicles to expand the search area with the determination to find the victims soon.

Functional forces also recommend that people and tourists not swim in dangerous areas or without rescue forces, especially in the evening or when the sea is rough, to avoid unfortunate incidents.

Currently, the search for victims is still being implemented in many directions.
