On May 10, information from the Party Committee of Gia Phu commune, Lao Cai province said that a serious traffic accident had just occurred in the area, killing 2 people.
Accordingly, at about 11:05 pm on May 9, in the area of Ben Pha Resettlement intersection, Ben Pha village, Gia Phu commune, a collision occurred between a tractor-trailer with license plate 21H-01.4xx pulling a trailer with license plate 21R-006.xx and a motorbike with license plate 24AE-036.xx.
At the time of the accident, the tractor-trailer driven by Dinh Cong V. (born in 1999, residing in Thai Bo village, Gia Phu commune) was traveling in the direction from the old Lao Cai city to Gia Phu commune.
When the vehicle turned left into the Ben Pha resettlement area, it collided with a motorbike carrying 2 people including An Hoang H. (born 2006, temporarily residing in Muong Bat village, Gia Phu commune) and Nguyen Manh Q. (born 2006, residing in Thai Bo village, Gia Phu commune).
The strong collision killed H. and Q. on the spot. The two vehicles were damaged.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Gia Phu Commune Police force was present to protect the scene, coordinating with professional units of Lao Cai Provincial Police to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident according to regulations.
