Accordingly, at around 5:20 p.m. on June 8, at the level crossing, there was an automatic barrier installed at Km DS 10+400, Van Dien - Thuong Tin section, Hanoi - Hanoi railway line (Thanh Tri, Hanoi), a 16-seat passenger car with license plate 29F-023.xx overtook the level crossing when the red light had turned on, causing damage to the level crossing.
At the time of the incident with no passengers on the train, the crossing guard promptly discovered the incident and asked the driver to move the train out of the dangerous area, ensuring the train continued its safe journey and did not have unfortunate collisions.
After the incident, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department urgently coordinated with the railway management unit to collect documents and extract relevant data to verify and clarify the incident.
On June 9, using professional measures, Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 identified and invited the driver, Mr. P.X.T (born in 1989, residing in Thanh Tri, Hanoi) to work.
At the police station, this person admitted all of his violations.
Based on the verification documents, Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 has drawn up an administrative violation record against the bus driver for the following acts: driving a vehicle across a level crossing when a red light is on and causing damage that requires blocking the level crossing.
According to current regulations, violators will be fined a total of 11 million VND and have their driving licenses revoked for 3 months. At the same time, force the restoration of the original state of the barrier equipment that was damaged by the violation.
This is identified as a dangerous act, posing a particularly serious risk of accidents. The Hanoi Traffic Police Department recommends that drivers absolutely comply with regulations when crossing the level crossing; do not cross the level crossing when the red light signal is lit or when the road is blocking.
