On the afternoon of August 28, a representative of Construction Joint Stock Company 676 (the construction unit for repairing Bao Loc Pass) said that Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration) has directed the temporary suspension of construction to repair the road surface of Bao Loc Pass (Lam Dong province). The temporary suspension of construction is to ensure traffic on National Highway 20, especially Bao Loc Pass, throughout the National Day holiday on September 2.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, previously, on the night of August 18 to the morning of August 19, 676 Construction Joint Stock Company organized the repair of the roadbed, road surface and traffic safety system on Bao Loc Pass. This is a project invested by Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration).

Accordingly, 676 Construction Joint Stock Company will repair and maintain all roadbed and road surface items at damaged and degraded locations on Bao Loc Pass from km 99 to km 106 of National Highway 20.
The repair and maintenance of Bao Loc Pass is expected to be completed before the upcoming National Day on September 2. However, during the repair process due to the impact of storms and floods, in recent days, the weather in the Bao Loc Pass area has not been favorable, often with heavy rain. Therefore, the construction unit could not be paved, causing the construction to be interrupted.
According to the forecast, starting from August 30, the traffic volume on National Highway 20 through Bao Loc Pass will increase. In particular, the traffic volume of people and tourists traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Lam Dong to enjoy the National Day holiday will increase sharply. Therefore, the investor has directed to temporarily suspend the repair of Bao Loc Pass to avoid congestion and congestion.
A representative of 676 Construction Joint Stock Company said: After the end of the National Day ceremony on September 2, the construction unit will repair the road surface of Bao Loc Pass again.
Bao Loc Pass is about 10km long, this is a vital pass connecting Lam Dong province with Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh city.
Recently, due to the high traffic volume, the road through Bao Loc Pass has been degraded and peeling. Many locations have "potholes" and "elephant holes" that pose a potential risk of traffic accidents.
