On the morning of August 28, the construction unit is conducting a geological exploration drill in the subsidence and fracture area on the old South bypass of Bao Loc (now in B'Lao ward and Bao Loc ward 3, Lam Dong province after the merger).
According to the construction unit, the exploration drilling was conducted to take samples to assess the geological layers. From there, the unit will deploy solutions to overcome subsidence and breakage on the southern bypass of Bao Loc city.
Currently, the construction unit has drilled 3 locations (average depth of 40 - 50m/drill top). At the same time, the unit continued to carry out 2 more drilling points at other locations in the roadbed subsidence section at Km7+820.

Previously, in June 2025, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy to complete the southern bypass of Bao Loc with a total cost of about 400 billion VND.
The project is invested by the Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the project scope is from starting point Km113+680 (National Highway 20, Loc Chau commune) to Km128+800 (in Loc Nga commune, the old Bao Loc city) with a total length of about 15.5km.
The scale of the South Bao Loc bypass includes 2 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motor vehicles. The route follows the current handed-over road, with a roadbed width of 12m.
When implementing the construction, the project will continue to complete 3 existing bridges on this route including Minh Rong, Nausri bridges and Au Co bridges, with an existing width of 12m.
In addition, the location of landslides and subsidence of the roadbed at Km7+820, will be invested in renovating the overpass in accordance with the existing roadbed scale. The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2027.

The South Bao Loc bypass project (opposite National Highway 20, through the wards of the old Bao Loc City) has a total investment of more than 800 billion VND.
The project started in 2017 and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2019. However, due to many reasons, the project was delayed and construction has been suspended since October 2020.
After the construction was temporarily suspended, a section of the road was seriously eroded and sunk, causing serious traffic insecurity. Along with that, many locations and construction items on the route were immediately damaged and seriously degraded.
In 2023, many traffic accidents occurred on this bypass, killing 3 people. After that, the authorities organized barriers and put up warning signs prohibiting vehicles from circulating.
