On the night of September 29, landslides occurred on National Highway 4D at Km114+500 and Km120+00, causing local traffic congestion.
To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, the authorities have temporarily blocked the National Highway 4D route from Coc San commune to Sa Pa ward to fix the problem.
Traffic police and Ta Phin commune police checkpointed 24/24, diverting traffic flows for vehicles, and coordinated with Lao Cai Road Joint Stock Company to urgently handle the landslide. It is expected that by 3:00 p.m. on September 30, the route will be reopened.
However, due to prolonged heavy rain, fog and cold, the risk of further landslides on National Highway 4D is still very high.
The Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Province Police recommends that people and vehicles traveling through the neighboring area should move slowly, observe carefully, follow the instructions of the authorities and regularly update information to ensure absolute safety.
