According to initial information, fishing boat BD 97543 TS with a capacity of 730CV is owned by fisherman Nguyen Huu Kha (born in 1960, residing in Hoai Huong ward, Hoai Nhon town), authorized by his son Nguyen Huu Long (born in 1986) as captain, departed on September 24, fishing for tuna. There were 4 crew members on board.
At around 7:30 p.m. on October 3, while the fishing boat was operating in an area about 123 nautical miles southeast of Hon Tre (Nha Trang) northeast, it was suddenly sunk by an unknown ship. Faced with the situation, the four crew members quickly left the boat and got into a boat.
After many hours drifting at sea, at 00:29 on October 4, the 4 crew members were approached and rescued by fishing boat BD 98075 TS. Currently, the health of the crew members is stable.
The captain and crew members of the fishing boat in distress decided to abandon ship and continue fishing with the fishing boat BD 98075 TS.
