Kuzeyboru Club started their journey in the 2024-2025 Turkish Women's Volleyball Championship on the evening of October 5. They easily won 3-0 against the not-so-highly rated Aydin B.Sehir.
Unfortunately, main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy did not have a chance to play in this match. She was kept on the bench by coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu and did not play a single minute.
Although she has not yet played in the first match in the new shirt, with her outstanding height of 1m93, Thanh Thuy promises to be a "trump card" of Kuzeyboru in the upcoming matches.
The Turkish National Volleyball Championship does not play continuously, often spacing out the time between matches so that teams have a suitable break as well as the best professional preparation.
In October, except for the opening match on October 5, Kuzeyboru club still has 5 matches, respectively against opponents Vakifbank (October 12), THY (October 19), Aras Kargo (October 22), Nilufer (October 26) and Zeren Spor (October 29).
Notably, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will have a match against VakifBank - one of the strongest clubs in the tournament with many stars in the squad such as Zehra Gunes, Markova, Yuan Xinyue, Bosetti...
Last year, VakifBank faced the Vietnamese team (Sport Center 1) at the 2023 Women's Club World Cup.
