According to information from Hanoi Railway Company Limited (Hanoi Metro), in just 2 days of the general training for the Commemoration Ceremony, parade, and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 21 and August 24, 2025, the number of passengers on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong route will reach 110,000 and 146,000 passengers, respectively. The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station route reached 30,000 and 50,000 passengers respectively.
According to a representative of Hanoi Metro, this number of visitors is double that of the National Day holiday on September 2 in previous years.
Hanoi Metro said that the demand for train travel for people and tourists will continue to increase sharply during the preliminary and final inspections of parades and parades (August 27 and 30), as well as during the peak days of the upcoming National Day on September 2.
Previously, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center coordinated with bus transport enterprises and Hanoi Railway Company Limited to implement exemption of tickets for public passenger transport with subsidies (buses and urban railways) for people and tourists.
Scope of application: 128 subsidized bus routes in Hanoi and 2 urban railway routes (route 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong, route 3.1 Nhon - Cau Giay).
Applicable period: 4 days, from August 30, 2025 (Saturday) to September 2, 2025 (Tuesday). Passengers are issued paper tickets with prices according to the regulations of the Hanoi People's Committee, depending on their travel needs, but do not have to pay for tickets.
