On March 9, the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (Tay Ninh province) said that the rescue force promptly supported a male tourist who encountered an accident while climbing the mountain in the area of pillar number 98 on the Power pole route.
According to initial information, the incident occurred on the morning of March 8. While climbing the mountain, the male tourist unfortunately slipped and fell due to the steep and rough terrain. The fall caused the victim to suffer multiple injuries, including a broken collarbone and unable to move on his own.
After receiving the news, rescue forces quickly approached the scene through the mountainous forest area. Here, medical staff performed first aid, fixed the victim's wound, and then used specialized stretchers to bring tourists down the mountain safely. The victim was then transferred to the hospital for further treatment.
The Power pole route on Ba Den Mountain is chosen by many tourists when participating in trekking activities. This route passes through 117 power poles, with an average conquest time of about 4 hours, combining stone steps and natural slopes.
However, according to the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, the high mountain terrain with many steep sections and rough rocks potentially poses risks if tourists are not prepared carefully or are not careful when moving.
The unit recommends that tourists when participating in mountain climbing should equip themselves with suitable mountain climbing shoes, use supporting sticks and follow the prescribed route. At the same time, tourists should pay attention to observe the terrain, avoid running and jumping at dangerous slopes and do not arbitrarily move into trails outside regulations to ensure safety.
