On the 3rd day of Tet, construction teams simultaneously "join forces
On the 3rd day of Tet, when many families are still gathering around the spring feast, on the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway construction site, the sound of excavators and rollers has resounded in the vast border forest.
Convoys of trucks lined up to carry soil and rocks, each construction front simultaneously "joined forces" after a few days of rotation.
At a roadbed construction site, Mr. Hoang Van Lam (from Cao Bang) adjusted the helmet strap before climbing into the excavator cabin.

“We brothers take turns off, so on the 3rd day, we gather fully again. After Tet, we get to work immediately, not to slow down,” he said.
According to Mr. Lam, Tet at the construction site does not have much leisure time. The first meal of the year takes place neatly in the camp, a few quick Tet greetings and then everyone goes to their positions.
I miss home, but doing a big project like this, everyone is aware of their responsibility. I try a little harder to complete the project soon," he shared.

Another young worker said that this year, he chose to stay on duty during Tet so that colleagues could return to their hometowns earlier.
“Brothers take turns. When the project is cleared, surely everyone is proud to be here from the early days,” he said.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Tran Chung Tuan - Deputy General Director of Construction Investment Group 568 JSC - said that the unit had prepared the construction plan at the beginning of the year before Tet.

We determined that the 3rd day of Tet is the time to simultaneously launch operations. Key construction teams are all arranged with manpower and equipment ready. Immediately after the short holiday, the construction site must regain the highest pace," Mr. Tuan said.
According to Mr. Tuan, the complex terrain conditions of the mountainous region, the humid and cold weather at the beginning of spring may affect the progress, but the teams have taken advantage of favorable time to compensate for the volume.
“Progress pressure is very high, especially when the investor sets a goal to shorten the completion time. Therefore, we have to take advantage of every day,” he emphasized.

Soon open synchronous highway routes in border areas
From the investor's perspective, Mr. Dang Tien Thang - General Director of Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Joint Stock Company - said that organizing rotational leave helps workers have time to reunite with their families but still ensures the overall progress.
By the 3rd day of Tet, all forces had gathered again, bringing the project back to normal construction status," Mr. Thang informed.
According to Mr. Thang, phase 1 of the project must be completed in 2026 according to the contract.
For phase 2 alone, 93km long, instead of completion in 2027 as initially planned, the enterprise is aiming to shorten it by nearly a year, striving to complete it on a complete scale of 4 lanes this year.

We hope to be able to synchronously open both phases earlier than expected. This is a significant pressure, but also a motivation for the entire system of contractors, engineers, and workers to accelerate right from the first days of the year," Mr. Thang affirmed.
Regarding site clearance work, on the main route of phase 1, the basic site has been handed over.
For phase 2, the current release rate is about 61%.
Due to being implemented on a complete scale of 4 lanes, the project generates an additional area that needs to be additionally cleared. Currently, there are still some local locations, mainly on service roads, being coordinated and handled by the locality.
According to the latest report, the project is currently maintaining progress exceeding the plan in both main bidding packages.
The entire route has had 99.87% of the site handed over, the main route is 93.5km long, reaching 100% clean site; 398/401 households have been relocated.
At the construction site, more than 2,300 personnel and hundreds of equipment were mobilized for simultaneous construction, many roadbed, bridge, and excavation and embankment items reached 90-100% of the volume, and the accumulated output value of the packages were all 4-6% faster than planned.
Amidst the spring colors still lingering on the mountainside, the sound of construction machines echoes as a warm-up for a year of acceleration...
