On the afternoon of March 5, Song Tranh Hydropower Company coordinated with Tra Doc Commune People's Committee to release 30,000 fish fry for the 11th time into Song Tranh 2 hydropower reservoir. This is the 11th fish fry release, raising the total number of fish regenerating aquatic resources in the reservoir to more than 800,000, with a total value of nearly 600 million VND.
The 2026 fish release includes grass carp and silver carp to balance the ecosystem, control algae and improve water quality at the lake bed covering more than 2,100ha.

The goal is to regenerate aquatic resources and create sustainable livelihoods for local people.
On this occasion, the unit coordinated with Vietcombank Da Nang to donate 40 bicycles (total value of 62 million VND) to poor and studious students in Tra Doc, Tra Tan and Tra Tap communes. This is a key social security activity to support disadvantaged children to go to school.

After 11 years of operation to date, Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant operates safely and stably. Total electricity output of 9.96 billion kWh, total revenue reached 9,740 billion VND. The unit has contributed nearly 1,700 billion VND to the State budget.
