Thai Nguyen stops investing in Phu Binh district headquarters

Thai Nguyen - Phu Binh District People's Council decided to cancel the district's office project and three other projects in the medium-term public investment plan.

On March 12, information from the People's Council of Phu Binh district (Thai Nguyen), this unit passed a resolution to cancel the investment in building the headquarters of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee.

In addition to the above project, three other projects are also excluded from the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025, including: Vang Ngoai residential area (Tan Duc commune); Thanh Ninh commune central residential area; Ban Dat commune central residential area.

According to the leader of the District People's Council, this decision was made on the basis of direction from the Central to local levels on temporarily suspending projects to build and renovate district-level headquarters.

Previously, the Phu Binh District office was planned to expand based on the current status, adding about 3 hectares.

Regarding the plan to reorganize administrative units, the leader of the Department of Home Affairs of Thai Nguyen province said that the locality currently has no plans to abolish the district level.

Thai Nguyen currently has three cities: Thai Nguyen, Song Cong, Pho Yen and six districts: Phu Binh, Dai Tu, Vo Nhai, Phu Luong, Dinh Hoa, Dong Hy.
