Previously, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province received Official Letter No. 909/STC-QLDP&CS dated March 3, 2025 from the Department of Finance of Thanh Hoa province on reviewing and temporarily suspending the implementation of investment in headquarters of district-level administrative agencies to implement the restructuring of the political system.
After consideration, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently review and temporarily suspend the implementation of investment projects to build new, repair, renovate and upgrade offices of district-level administrative agencies and units (except in urgent cases, directly affecting the safety of cadres, civil servants and workers) until the direction of the Provincial People's Committee is given; ensure thrift and fight waste according to regulations.
Assign the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to fully study the contents of Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat, on that basis, continue to study and advise on temporarily suspending the implementation of investment in projects and other contents in the field of public investment in the province during the process of restructuring the apparatus of the political system; report to the Provincial People's Committee before March 17, 2025.
Assign the Departments: Finance, Construction; State Treasury of Region X and related units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to monitor, inspect and supervise localities in implementation, ensuring effectiveness; promptly report to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on issues beyond their authority.
Previously, Lao Dong reported that in recent days, the construction unit has been working overtime to urgently complete the Hoang Hoa District People's Committee headquarters.
It is worth mentioning that while many localities have temporarily suspended the construction of district-level headquarters in preparation for district-level mergers in the spirit of general direction, the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district has still urgently constructed and decided to increase the total investment to nearly 8 billion VND.
